Child abuse hotline launched in UAE

A hotline to report child abuse is now operational in the country. The helpline number 116111 was launched on the sidelines of the second global summit on ending online child sexual exploitation, taking place in Abu Dhabi. People can inform the police about any such violations by dialing the number or by using the Hemayati smartphone app. Globally, the exploitation of children has increased by 1,500% since 1988.
