Cashless payment to become mandatory on Abu Dhabi buses

NULL

Public transport buses in Abu Dhabi will stop accepting cash payments, starting from October 11. The Department of Transport is advising commuters to purchase Hafilat smartcards before boarding. Its decision to stop using money boxes for bus fares is aimed at reducing congestion while getting on and off the bus. Hafilat cards can be purchased from bus stations, malls as well as online ticketing machines.
