The Arab coalition has conducted further air strikes on areas held by Houthi militias on the border between Taiz and Lahij overnight. The strikes are part of the coalition’s plan to step up the mission to liberate Taiz, the third largest Yemeni city. Earlier, clashes also broke out between resistance fighters and Houthi rebels, with 12 Houthi militants killed. This follows the arrival of government-backed popular resistance fighters at Tabbat Al Wakeel in Taiz, considered one of the most important Houthi-held areas. Yemeni president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has called for all sides and factions to stop the fighting and come to an agreement.
