Abu Dhabi Airports announce 17% increase in August passenger traffic

Abu Dhabi International Airport has broken its own record for passengers in a month. The capital saw more than 2.2 million passengers pass through its airport in August, compared to 1.9 million in the same month last year. The facility also saw a knock-on effect on aircraft movements, with a 14.1% increase on August 2014. Last month, the top five routes from Abu Dhabi were London, Bangkok, Doha, Manila, and Mumbai.
