6 killed in Dubai road accidents caused by use of mobile phones

Using mobile phones while driving on Dubai roads has caused six deaths and 58 injuries over the last eight months.

Posting video footage of the traffic violation on their official social media channels, the Dubai Police reminded motorists that smart radars are equipped to capture violators.

They added that 35,527 people were caught on camera and penalised during the same period.

According to the UAE traffic law, violators will face a fine of AED 800 and 4 black points.
