Around 30,000 counterfeit designer goods have been confiscated by authorities in the capital. Reports suggest these included handbags, watches, sunglasses, shoes and perfumes, worth AED 6 million. Three Asians were arrested over the counterfeit items, which were discovered in three residential flats. One of the flats contained hidden rooms to store the products. Abu Dhabi Police have warned the public not to buy fake goods that are cheap but inferior in quality.
