Two members of the UAE Armed Forces died on Monday in a helicopter crash caused by a "technical malfunction", the Ministry of Defence announced on Monday.
The two officers died while "performing their national duty in the country," the ministry announced.
The Ministry extended its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the two martyrs.
The State of Qatar expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the sisterly United Arab Emirates, government and people, on the martyrdom of two members of the armed forces while performing their national duties.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement on Monday that the State of Qatar stands in full solidarity with the UAE in this tragic event, and supports all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its sovereignty and security.
The Ministry also extended the sincere condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the two martyrs, asking God Almighty to have mercy on them and to protect the United Arab Emirates and its people from all harm.
