Helicopter crash kills 4 in Quebec

Four people have been killed in a helicopter crash southeast of Montreal, police said on Saturday afternoon.

National broadcasters CBC and CTV reported that police said the crash happened at about 2:30 pm ET (1830 GMT) and that the aircraft was on fire when first responders arrived at the site near Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville.

All four occupants of the aircraft were reported dead by the Surete du Quebec, the provincial police force.

Police did not immediately provide details about the helicopter's ownership, origin, or its purpose for the journey. Meanwhile, Canada's Transportation Safety Board is deploying investigators.
