Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role in the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things," has announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, Jake Bongiovi.
The 19-year-old actress shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself with Bongiovi, who is also an actor and the son of legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi.
In the caption, Brown quoted Taylor Swift's "Lover" and wrote, "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all," along with a white love heart emoji. The post also featured a close-up shot of an engagement ring on Brown's finger. Bongiovi also shared the news on his own Instagram page, with a simple caption that read, "forever," alongside two photos of the couple.
The announcement comes after weeks of speculation on social media that the couple had gotten engaged. Brown first introduced Bongiovi to her followers in June of 2021, with a photo of him posted to Instagram.
In January of 2022, Brown referred to Bongiovi as her "partner for life" in another Instagram post, which featured a series of photos of the couple together.
Brown rose to fame as a child star on "Stranger Things," which is set to end after its upcoming fifth season. However, a prequel to the show is set to be staged in London's West End and an animated TV series has also been announced by Netflix.
Meanwhile, Bongiovi has landed his second major acting role in a new coming-of-age film called "Rockbottom."
The young couple's engagement has sparked congratulations and well wishes from fans and fellow celebrities alike, with many taking to social media to share their excitement for the pair.
