A spectacular drone show and a choir performance titled 'The Parade of the World' will welcome guests on the opening night of Global Village's Season 31 at 6 pm on Wednesday.

The new season, under the theme "A More Wonderful World", will also unveil new attractions, including stunt show 'Fast Live 2: The Police Strike Back', along with new musicals 'Bollywood Idol' and 'Bank Heist'.

A new roller coaster, Tokyo Rush, will also open later in the season.

This season will have 29 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, with over 3,500 shopping outlets, more than 250 dining options, 40,000 shows and over 200 attractions. The Sri Lanka, Russia and Azerbaijan pavilions have been refreshed, and the Syria and Kuwait pavilions have new façades.

New food outlets include Trabzon Turkish Restaurant, Robo Al Sham, Hawawshi Al Rabie and Chicking.

Visitors can also expect a new VIP parking self-payment system and a new WhatsApp chatbot for information during their visit.

“Global Village holds a special place in people’s lives because of the connections they make here,” said Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment.

Global Village will run until May 2027. It opens from 4 pm to midnight Sunday to Wednesday, and from 4 pm to 1 am Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays.

Tuesdays are reserved for families and women only, except on public holidays.
