Sharjah International Book Fair starts on Wednesday, November 2, bringing together 2,213 publishers from 95 nations and featuring more than 1.5 million book titles.
It's the 41st edition of the event, and it will run until November 13 at the Expo Centre.
'Spread the Word' is the thought-provoking theme of the region’s biggest celebration of books, reading, culture and creativity this year.
As many as 129 authors, intellectuals and experts from 57 countries will lead 1,047 activities at the fair's 12-day run.
Children's activities include fun robotics sessions, animation, costume design and science labs. The full schedule is available on the event's website.
The book signing corner will host hundreds of authors, offering the audience an opportunity to meet with a wide range of acclaimed intellectuals, writers, and academics who will personally sign their latest publications in different genres including poetry, novels, short stories, plays, critiques, and intellectual, philosophical, and social studies, among others.
The fair opens each day from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm, except Friday when it will open at 4:00 pm and stay on until 11:00 pm.
