Kim Kardashian West gives birth to baby boy

Kim Kardashian West has given birth to a baby boy. The 35-year-old beauty - who already has a two-year-old daughter, North West, with her husband Kanye West - and her newborn son are both said to be doing well following the birth earlier yesterday (05.12.15). In a statement published on Kim's website, a spokesperson for the couple said: "Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. "Mother and son are doing well." Kim was due to give birth of Christmas Day (25.12.15), but her son has arrived a few weeks early. The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star has been looking forward to the birth on social media, and has made no secret of the fact she couldn't wait for her pregnancy to be over. She recently took to her website to document the External Cephalic Version procedure she underwent to have her baby moved from a breech position to the head-down position. She wrote: "This weekend I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position "They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby. There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop - in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all! (sic)"
