Calvin Harris cancels second gig after crash

Calvin Harris has cancelled a second gig following his car accident on Friday (20.05.16). The 32-year-old DJ was injured after a VW Beetle hit his Cadillac SUV near Los Angeles International Airport and he was taken to hospital by paramedics where he was treated for a laceration to the face. Calvin - who was a passenger in the SUV and reportedly left hospital "against medical advice" because there were no private rooms available - called off Friday's DJ set at Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas after the accident and followed it up by pulling out of his planned headlining performance at Hangout Fest in Alabama on Saturday (21.05.16). A representative for Calvin told TMZ that he "sustained minor injuries" in the crash. A message on his Facebook page read: "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result, he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days." One of the passengers in the other car, driven by a 16 year old, reportedly broke her pelvis after being violently ejected from the vehicle in the collision. Meanwhile, Calvin - who has collaborated with a number of female stars, including Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, and his former lover Rita Ora - recently insisted he has no plans to record with his girlfriend Taylor Swift. He said: "We haven't even spoken about it, but I can't see it happening. She is about to take a long break." Calvin's latest single, 'That Is What You Came For', sees him team up with Rihanna - who he worked with five years ago on 'We Found Love' - again and he finds her "iconic" voice always makes his music better. He said: "She has an iconic voice and when you give her a certain type of song it's just next level." Calvin has also been recording with Ellie Goulding again, but is still unsure how the finished track will sound. He said: "We have half a track, I don't know about the half. You know when you have half a track and you are not really sure how to make it a full track? "You have just got to step out of the studio, step outside, sit down on the grass, make a sandwich and just let the idea come. "If the idea doesn't come to you, then you weren't supposed to have the idea."
