UAE businesses call for more flexible labour laws

Businesses in Dubai are calling for more flexible labour laws to allow foreigners to work for more than one employer. They say allowing expat workers to freelance for companies other than their sponsors, will benefit many firms who are looking to hire staff on a part time basis. Magnus Olsen is the founder of car service app Careem. He told ARN News, the sponsorship system makes it difficult to hire additional drivers, known as ‘captains’ by the firm.
