The UAE and Brazil have agreed to expand trade ties and explore new investment partnerships.

That’s according to a joint statement released on the sidelines of Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro’s official visit to the Emirates.

Agreements have been signed in the fields of artificial intelligence, environment, defence and customs cooperation.

Brazil has also reiterated the UAE’s position as a key gateway for regional and global markets.

Bolsonaro's visit comes to a conclusion on Monday.
