The aviation industry will see a fast rebound in terms of air traffic to markets that have already opened.

Those are the words of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai.

Speaking exclusively to the Business Breakfast on Dubai Eye 103.8, he said aviation in Dubai bounced back when flights restarted to countries like the UK, Russia, Maldives and Seychelles.

He also spoke about his outlook for the second half of this year.

Emirates Airline and flydubai recently announced that they will be providing customers with a combined network of 168 destinations by the end of May.

The codeshare between both carriers will help provide Dubai passengers with more travel options.

According to Sheikh Ahmed, the partnership between both airlines continues to grow steadily.

He also clarified what they will be focusing on for the coming period.
