Precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus have been implemented ahead of Sharjah's annual wedding fair.

More than 70 UAE exhibitors are taking part in the emirate's 10th Wedding Show, which opens today.

The fair at Expo Khor Fakkan brings together Emirati fashion brands, accessories, perfumes, designers, abaya stores and beauty experts.

Organisers have been highlighting the health and safety precautions at the four-day event.

Medical tests have been conducted on all participants and a team will be available on site.

The Eastern Region Police Department in the town will also follow up on the implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures during the fair.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Zamik, Deputy Director of Expo Khor Fakkan, called on the residents and visitors to take advantage of the exciting deals the Wedding Show offers and urged them to abide by the preventive measures during the show.

The event will open its doors to visitors daily from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
