Sharjah's publishing houses have got a huge boost.

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced a handsome grant of AED 4.5 million to support publishing houses in the emirate that are taking part in the ongoing Sharjah International Book Fair.

It's part of Sheikh Al Qasimi's vision to promote reading across the UAE.

The grant will be used by the libraries to purchase the latest titles and books from publishing houses in Sharjah.
