Sharjah Crown Prince discusses energy strategy with UAE Minister

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, held talks on energy strategy and infrastructure development with Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, during a meeting in Sharjah on Tuesday.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between federal and local authorities in the energy sector, with an emphasis on advancing clean energy programmes and supporting sustainable development across the UAE.

The meeting also reviewed future plans by Etihad Water and Electricity Company ((EtihadWE), including the use of advanced technologies and innovative practices to improve energy services, enhance infrastructure efficiency and address environmental challenges.

Held at the Ruler’s Office, the meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Energy Council.

Concluding the meeting, Al Mazrouei thanked the Sharjah Crown Prince for his continued support, noting that close coordination between government entities is key to the long-term growth and sustainability of the energy and electricity sector.
