H.H. Sheikh Hamdan: Dubai economic zones post record AED491bn in non-oil trade

WAM

The Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ) recorded their strongest performance on record in 2025, with non-oil trade reaching AED491 billion, according to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.

In posts on X, Sheikh Hamdan said the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, which includes Dubai Airport Freezone, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai CommerCity, delivered its best annual results since its establishment.

Non-oil trade grew by 46 per cent compared with 2024, increasing DIEZ's contribution to Dubai's total non-oil trade to 16 per cent.

Sheikh Hamdan said the achievement reflects the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and highlights the continued growth of the emirate's key economic sectors.

He also praised the efforts of the DIEZ team, led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, expressing confidence in their ability to sustain growth and further strengthen Dubai's position as a leading global centre for trade, investment and business.

DIEZ oversees some of Dubai's most important free zones and business districts, supporting sectors including logistics, aviation, technology, advanced industries and e-commerce.
