Social media platforms Facebook and Instagram appeared to be experiencing widespread technical problems on Tuesday.
Many Facebook users report being logged out without an option to log back in, while Instagram displays a 'Couldn't refresh feed' message.
The cause of the outage remains unconfirmed.
Downdetector, a website that tracks traffic-related issues on major websites saw a spike in the number of complaints around 7:15 pm UAE time.
