Dubai sets up plans to boost Emiratisation of private sector

Dubai has announced plans to set up a new council to enhance the employment of Emiratis in the private sector.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued a decree to form the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, which will work with companies to "increase the number of UAE citizens employed in some fields".

Emiratis will also be mentored and offered career planning advice and guidance on working in the private sector.

The Council, which will include representatives from the public and private sector, will oversee the implementation of policies, plans and initiatives.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, appointed Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori as the chairman of the Council.
