Dubai Healthcare City unveils AED 1.3 billion expansion plan

Dubai Healthcare City is set for a major expansion, with a new AED 1.3 billion development plan announced for its Phase 1 zone.

The Dubai Healthcare City Authority says the ambitious project aims to reinforce the city’s role as a top destination for global healthcare investment.

Phase one will include a LEED Platinum-certified office building, a purpose-built medical complex, and new infrastructure to support long-term growth.

Issam Galadari, CEO of the Authority, says the initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE’s Net Zero Strategy 2050, integrating sustainability, innovation, and smart design into the city's healthcare infrastructure.

The office tower, spanning 13,000 square-metres across nine floors and three basement levels, will offer flexible commercial spaces built to the highest global sustainability standards.

Alongside it, a 5,800-square-metre medical complex will house surgical centres, labs, diagnostics and outpatient facilities, all built for future adaptability.

Supporting projects include Salik-integrated, smart, multi-storey car parks equipped with EV charging stations and full accessibility features.

Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2025, with completion set for November 2027.
