Dubai Chambers explores trade and investment opportunities in Ethiopia

WAM

Dubai Chambers has held a series of meetings in Ethiopia aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between Dubai and one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.

The discussions took place in Addis Ababa as part of a trade mission to Ethiopia and Ghana designed to help Dubai-based companies expand into high-potential African markets.

Led by Dubai Chambers President and CEO Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the delegation met Ethiopian government officials, investment agencies and business leaders to explore opportunities in industry, trade and investment.

Talks with Ethiopia’s Minister of Industry, Melaku Alebel, focused on expanding industrial cooperation, increasing trade exchange and encouraging partnerships between businesses in both countries.

Dubai Chambers also met representatives from the Ethiopian Investment Commission to discuss investment opportunities and ways to attract international companies to both markets.

A separate meeting was held with Ethiopian Investment Holdings, Africa’s largest sovereign wealth fund, to explore potential long-term partnerships and joint investment opportunities.

Dubai Chambers said the visit reflects growing economic links between Dubai and Africa and forms part of wider efforts to support the international expansion of Dubai-based businesses.
