More than AED 33 million worth of fake perfumes have been seized in Ras al Khaimah.

The emirate's Department of Economic Development says the bottles violated trademarks of close to 20 international brands.

In total 119,960 bottles of fake perfume were confiscated in the raid.

Authorities say it's the biggest ever seizure of counterfeit cosmetics in the country.

They say further investigations are being carried out to identify the owners of the unidentified brands.

The perfumes were found in a farm in Ras al Khaimah's Shamal area, which is towards the north of the emirate.

The farm was being illegally used as a warehouse to store the fake products.
