Women's World Cup: Scotland out, England maintain winning run

England maintained their 100 per cent record in the Women's World Cup with a 2-0 win over Japan.

Elsewhere, Scotland crashed out after squandering a 3-0 lead against Argentina as the match ended 3-3.

Needing a win to keep their chances of reaching the knockout stages alive, they conceded three times in the final 16 minutes.

In Thursday's games, Cameroon face New Zealand and the Netherlands take on Canada in Group E.

Sweden and the USA battle for top spot in Group F, while Thailand play Chile.
