Joxean Matxin Fernandez, the UAE Team Principal said he has chosen a balanced squad to participate in the Tour of Spain, including a number of climbing riders and four specialists in sprints.

They are expected to put up an offensive front as they compete with 22 other international teams.

The 21 stages offer mixed terrain with two time trials and nine summit finishes, with several stages also handmade for the sprinters.

Team manager Joxean Matxin Fernandez will supervise the squad during that tour, while sporting directors Simone Pedrazzini, John Wakefield, Aurelio Corral and Manuele Mori will assist the squad during the three weeks of the tour.

The third and final Grand Tour of the current season, which starts from the Spanish city of Burgos on August 14, ends in Santiago de Compostela on September 5.
