UAE reach Gulf Cup semi-finals after 3-0 win over Bahrain

The UAE secured their place in the Gulf Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 victory over Bahrain in Jeddah on Sunday.

Oumar Camara opened the scoring after 30 minutes before G Bala doubled the UAE's advantage in the 66th minute.

Ali Saleh added a third two minutes from time to seal a second successive victory for the UAE, following their 4-0 win over Yemen in their opening Group B match.

Qatar also booked their place in the semi-finals after beating Yemen 1-0 earlier on Sunday.Yusuf Abdurisag scored the only goal in the 64th minute, while Yemen goalkeeper Mohammed Aman later saved a penalty from Akram Afif.

Qatar had opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Bahrain and, like the UAE, have six points from their opening two matches.

The UAE and Qatar will meet in their final Group B fixture with top spot still to be decided.

Bahrain and Yemen, who have both lost their opening two games, can no longer reach the semi-finals.
