Goalkeeper Farouk Ben Mustapha produced the key moment, saving Caleb Ekuban's penalty after the last-16 tie finished 1-1.

The Ivory Coast also progressed to the last-eight as Wilfried Zaha scored the only goal of the game against Mali.

Tunisia will now play Madagascar while the Ivory Coast take on Algeria, with Senegal v Benin and Nigeria versus South Africa completing the quarter-final line-up.
