Rugby World Cup: New Zealand in final after gripping win over South Africa

NULL

New Zealand overcame South Africa to make the Rugby Union World Cup final after a tight battle at Twickenham. The reigning champions came back after a weak first half to secure a tense 20-18 victory. An early penalty had given the Springboks a 12-7 lead at halftime, but the All Blacks fought back in the second half with a drop-goal from Dan Carter and a try by Beauden Barrett. New Zealand ramped up the pressure despite being one-man down in the second half after Jerome Kaino was sin-binned. South Africa struggled as the All Blacks held their two-point lead in the last 12 minutes of the gripping semi-final. New Zealand now take on the winners of tonight's other semi-final clash between Australia and Argentina.
