Pakistan advance to Asia Cup final

Pakistan advanced to the final of the Asia Cup with a one-wicket win over Afghanistan in their Super-4 clash on Wednesday.

Chasing a target of 130 runs, Babar Azam's men won the game in Sharjah with four balls remaining.

With 11 needed off the final over, Naseem Shah hit two consecutive sixes to help his side to victory.

The result also ends Afghanistan and India's slim hopes of reaching the final.

Earlier, Pakistan who won the toss and elected to bowl, restricted Afghanistan to 129 for six with Haris Rauf returning figures of 2-26.

For Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran contributed a a vital 35 runs and Hazratullah Zazai scored 21.

Pakistan's Shadab Khan was declared Player of the Match for his 26-ball 36 and 1 for 27 with the ball.

Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in Sunday's title decider in Dubai.
