Belgian Martin Van Riel won the seventh edition of the Ironman Dubai Triathlon, beating 2,600 athletes from across 100 countries.
Van Riel completed the 113-km race in a time of 3:26:06 hours.
Meanwhile, German Laura Phelps, ranked No. 3 in the world, managed to win the women’s title in a time of 03:53:03 hours, surpassing Swiss champion and world number two Daniela Reeve.
