Man Utd Champions League hopes fade, Real Madrid clinch top spot

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana made two bad errors as hosts Galatasaray twice fought back from two goals down to earn a thrilling 3-3 draw on Wednesday and leave the English side's hopes of reaching the Champions League last 16 in serious doubt.

Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay scored for United in a breathless game, but Erik ten Hag's team remained bottom of Group A on four points from five matches, one point adrift of Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

"It's obviously really bad. We lost really bad goals and had to have control of that situation," United captain Fernandes told TNT Sports.

The three-times European champions' hopes of advancing will come down to the final round of games after Copenhagen drew 0-0 at Bayern Munich. United must beat Bayern, the Group A winners, on December 12 to progress.

Two late goals by 19-year-old Nico Paz and Joselu gave Real Madrid a 4-2 fightback win against Napoli, securing the top spot in Champions League Group C with one round of matches remaining.

Giovanni Simeone had opened the scoring for Napoli with a close-range strike in the ninth minute, with Rodrygo equalising two minutes later, and they ten went ahead with a Jude Bellingham header in the 22nd minute.

It was Bellingham's 15th goal in 16 games in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, making him the first player in the club's history to score in each of his first four European Cup games.

The 14-times champions, who had already secured qualification to the last 16, maintained their 100% record and have 15 points from five games, eight points ahead of the Italian champions.

Napoli, second on seven points, need a draw in their final game against Braga, third on four points, to qualify for the knockout stage.
