Liam Lawson to replace injured Isack Hadjar again in Madrid

Liam Lawson will race alongside Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix with Isack Hadjar still sidelined by a wrist injury.

Hadjar was injured while training over the summer break, with Lawson finishing P7 in the Dutch Grand Prix and P14 in the Italian Grand Prix in his place. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda has finished P11 and P10 while filling Lawson's seat with the junior team Racing Bulls.

Lawson will remain in Hadjar's seat for this weekend's race at the new Madring circuit in Madrid.

"After racing for the team in Zandvoort and Monza, Liam will continue to drive alongside Max at this week's Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid," Red Bull said in a statement Monday.

"The decision has been taken as Isack's recovery continues to progress positively. While he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit, he will be in Madrid supporting the team.

"Everyone at Oracle Red Bull Racing looks forward to welcoming Isack back behind the wheel very soon."

Following Madrid, the next race on the Formula 1 schedule is the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sept. 26.
