Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad on a three-year deal.

The Brazilian was left out of the Reds’ pre-season trip to Singapore and didn’t join the team during their recent training camp in Germany.

The 29-year-old is the latest in a number of big-name signings at Al-Ittihad, including former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, who both left Europe for the Middle East this summer.

Fabinho spent five years at Anfield having joined from Monaco in 2018 for a fee of £39 million. The Reds have recouped that fee having agreed to a fee of £40 million with the Saudi giants.

The star made 219 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 11 goals. He won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time on Merseyside.
