F1 confirms Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will close 2026 season

Formula One will end the 2026 season in Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit, reaffirming the championship’s commitment to the scheduled calendar.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, said preparations to host the season finale in Abu Dhabi from December 3-6 are progressing according to plan.

Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said hosting Formula 1 since 2009 reflects the emirate’s global standing and its ability to attract major international sporting events.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix combines competition at Yas Marina Circuit with a diverse programme of entertainment events, concerts and hospitality experiences across Yas Island, making it one of the most prominent season-ending rounds on the Formula 1 calendar.

Global chart-toppers including Zara Larsson, Imagine Dragons, and Lewis Capaldi are set to take the stage at the After Race concerts, with more artists to be announced.

The 2025 race week broke attendance records with a combined total of 339,000 fans across all events at Yas Island.
