As the new ADNOC Pro League season gets underway on Friday, Dubai Police is urging football fans to enjoy the matches responsibly and follow stadium safety rules.
The authority has launched the latest edition of its annual 'Your Commitment is Happiness' campaign, which highlights fans’ responsibilities and promotes a safe and positive matchday experience.
Supporters are being asked to follow instructions when entering and leaving stadiums and remain in their designated seating areas.
Fans are also reminded that entering the pitch or restricted areas without permission, bringing dangerous or prohibited items, including fireworks, and displaying offensive or racist language or gestures are prohibited.
Violence, throwing objects or liquids, and using stadiums for political purposes are also subject to penalties under UAE law.
Depending on the offence, violations can result in imprisonment and fines of up to AED 30,000.
Dubai Police says responsible fan behaviour helps maintain the UAE’s high standards for safety and organisation at major sporting events.
The message to supporters is simple: enjoy the football, support your team with passion and help keep stadiums safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.
