Manchester United have suffered a huge blow after defender Luke Shaw sustained a double leg fracture in their Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven. Despite Memphis Depay scoring the opening goal against his former club, United failed to capitalise on their dominance and goals from PSV's Hector Moreno and Luciano Narsingh led the hosts to a 2-1 victory. Shaw’s injury came just 15 minutes into the match following a Moreno tackle, leaving the England international with a double fracture that requires surgery and may rule him out of next summer's European Championships. He later tweeted: "Thank you everyone for your messages, words can't describe how gutted I am, my road to recovery starts now, I will come back stronger.”
