Simone Biles has broken the record for World Gymnastics Championships medals won by a female athlete.

The 22-year-old claimed her 21st medal as the USA took their fifth straight team title.

Russia took silver while Italy beat China to claim bronze in Stuttgart.

Biles now has more medals in the competition's history than Russia's Svetlana Khorkina
