The Higher Organising Committee for the Al Salam Cycling Championship has approved the official programme for its ninth edition.

This year’s edition will feature four races across all categories. The schedule kicks off with the UAE Nationals’ Amateur Race on December 29, 2024, followed by the Men’s Elite Race on January 19, 2025, the Women’s Race on February 2, 2025, and concludes with the Desert Race on February 9, 2025.

The total prize pool for these races is AED 3.5 million.

The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is organized by the Private Office of the Ruler of Dubai.

Over the past eight editions, the championship has grown significantly in terms of technical and organisational success, attracting thousands of cyclists from around the globe.

It's recognized as the world’s largest community cycling event, both in terms of diversity and prize money.

The event has also received extensive media attention, becoming a key platform to promote physical fitness and showcase the UAE’s stunning landscapes, with routes passing through the Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve to iconic Dubai landmarks.

Omair Jumaa Al Falasi, Director-General of the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee, credited the success of the event to the vision and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, noting the substantial prize pool has heightened competition each year, making the championship one of the region's most prestigious events.

The final race routes will be announced in stages, giving participants ample time to prepare.
