Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are confident of landing Mohamed Salah with a bid in excess of £100 million (AED 465,765,700) reportedly being prepared to lure the Egyptian to the Saudi Pro League.
Liverpool have insisted that their star man is not for sale, however, Al-Ittihad are said to be growing in confidence and are willing to test The Reds’ resolve with a big money offer on deadline day.
Jurgen Klopp had previously expressed concerns about the Saudi transfer window remaining open for a week after the Premier League window.
An agreement on deadline day would leave Klopp no time to find a replacement for Salah and the sale would seriously dent his side’s hopes of challenging for major trophies this season.
Liverpool are also in no rush to sell Salah who has two years left on his current deal.
Brazilian midfielder Fabinho swapped Anfield for Al-Ittihad earlier in the transfer window and Salah’s former teammates Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino also left Liverpool for Saudi Arabia this summer.
