Afghanistan have beaten hosts Bangladesh in their T20 Tri-Series encounter in Dhaka.

Batting first, the tourists posted 164 for 6 with Mohammad Nabi smashing an unbeaten 84.

Bangladesh were then bowled out for 139 as spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman blew away the top order with four wickets.

Meanwhile, the opening T20 International between India and South Africa was washed out without a ball being bowled.

Play from Dharamshala was forced to be abandoned due to persistent rain.

The second match will be played at Mohali on Wednesday.
