Two US military personnel in Jordan have been killed on Friday as they defended against Iranian missiles and drones, with another member missing, the Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement on Saturday.
In a post on social media platform X, the military forces added that four American service members were immediately taken to hospitals in Jordan for treatment during the incident, but have been discharged.
They added that other personnel who were evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty.
"Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM will withhold additional information, including the identities of the fallen warriors, until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified", the statement added.
