Taking a cue from other social media platforms, Twitter is testing a new feature that will allow messages to disappear after 24 hours.
The test for 'fleets' will be conducted in Brazil, Twitter Inc announced.
The vanishing messages will not appear on the user's timeline but on the user's profile picture.
It can't be retweeted, or be liked or receive public replies.
"We're hoping that Fleets can help people share the fleeting thoughts that they would have been unlikely to Tweet," an official from the network said.
