An official source at Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy confirmed on Sunday that an administrative building belonging to state oil giant Saudi Aramco in Riyadh had been targeted in an attempted attack.

In a statement shared on their social media platform X, the ministry said the incident resulted in falling shrapnel that caused minor damage to the building, with no injuries or fatalities reported.

It added that the relevant authorities promptly responded to the incident and took the necessary measures.

The incident, which the ministry said caused limited damage, came after the Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted two missiles fired by Houthis towards Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia has been under continuous attacks from Houthis since early October, targeting their airports, facilities, civilians, and civlian infrastructure.
