Saudi Arabia's King Salman has approved an extension of the kingdom's curfew until further notice.

That's according to the state news agency (SPA), which added that the move is aimed to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The order was issued just before the 21-day curfew measure, which started on March 23, expired at midnight Saturday.

Last week, Riyadh and other big cities were placed under a 24-hour curfew.

So far, the country has more than 4,000 positive cases and 52 deaths.
