Kuwait will impose a partial curfew for a month and extend the ban on entry of non-Kuwaitis into the country until further notice in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The curfew, which will run from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am, will be effective from Sunday, March 7, until April 8.
The country has recorded a spike in COVID cases, with 1,716 positive cases and eight deaths reported on Thursday.
So far, Kuwait has recorded 196,497 cases and 1,105 fatalities.
