Kuwait intercepts new wave of Iranian attacks

WAM

Kuwait’s air defences intercepted a new wave of Iranian drone strikes on Saturday, the army said, as Iran and the US continued to exchange attacks across the Middle East.

In a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said any explosions heard across the country were caused by air defence systems intercepting the incoming projectiles.

Iran has continued to strike Kuwait, with Kuwait's Armed Forces confirming that Iranian aggression targeted several vital and military installations across the country on Friday.

A Chinese company in the north of the country was targeted on Thursday, with authorities reporting the death of one worker and extensive damage to the facility.
