Kuwait announces death of child from shrapnel wound

An 11-year-old girl has died of injuries sustained from falling shrapnel on a residential area in Kuwait, the country's Ministry of Health announced early Wednesday.

Kuwaiti Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad stated that the victim received first-aid before being rushed by ambulance to the casualty ward of the Amir Hospital, where she was pronounced dead half an hour later. 

He added that four members of the victim's family are under medical observation at the hospital.
