Jordan intercepts 18 Iranian ballistic missiles

WAM

Jordanian army forces have intercepted 18 Iranian missiles targeting the kingdom early on Wednesday.

The armed forces' spokesperson said its air defences destroyed 18 of the 20 targeted Iranian missiles, with the remaining two falling in unpopulated areas. No casualties were reported.

Specialised teams have begun securing the locations where debris and shrapnel fell, taking all necessary precautions to verify the safety of surrounding areas, the spokesperson said.

The forces will continue to monitor, track and evaluate the attacks, the Petra News Agency quoted.
